The Abrya Coast
A gloomy swamp known as the Sanguine Basin lurks in the southwest region of the Abrya Coast. The swamp is flooded with cool water running from the icy peaks of Ragohz’s Chain. Gelatinous red fungi resembling bleeding wounds grows across most of the swamp giving the Sanguine Basin its name.
As the water held frozen upon the mountain tops is freed by the summer heat, it flows down great channels in the Chain and gathers in an enormous lake known as the Restless Reservoir. The lake separates the tundras that lay at the feet of Ragoh’s Chain from the Sanguine Basin. Sitting on the northeastern corner of this lake is the small town of Mirefield. The waters grow shallow as they enter the shadows of the swamp and creep northwest. After 20-30 miles of dense, foggy swamp land the trees give way to flat grassy wetlands that extend for another 15-20 miles before finally meeting the great grasslands.
